THE Cebu Avengers opened their campaign in the men’s division 2 of the Aboitiz Cup with an easy 5-1 win over CKFC at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu grounds on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019.
Russel Veña, Nelson Eco and Ron Carlo Paquibot scored the goals for the Avengers.
In the other division 2 game, Don Bosco Magone won without breaking a sweat after the DB Alumni failed to show up for their match.
In the BPO division, Accenture kicked off its campaign in style with two easy wins.
Accenture routed Concentrix, 4-1, then blanked Bake&More, 6-0. In the other BPO games, Wipro defeated Concentrix, 2-1, and Teradyne also scored a 2-0 win over Concentrix in men’s division.
In the women’s division, Primary handed Bake&More its second loss, 3-0. (ML)
