‘Born brave’ unleashes showmanship of children with special needs

BORN Brave unleashes the showmanship of children with special needs in a high caliber fashion show for a cause organized by the Office of Bacolod City Lone District Representative Greg Gasataya and his collaborators.

When they took the fashion runway, these angels have touched the hearts of spectators who were charmed by their glow and innocent expression of fun and entertainment, waving and giggling to the crowd, as the spotlight beamed their zeal to celebrate with the people.

It was a rare moment to see them on stage that indeed boosted the knack of top models and beauty pageant titleholders to confidently promenade the skimpy to lengthy fashion garb flawlessly combined by their exuding physical beauty and charm.

The crowd was undoubtedly moved after seeing children who endure the marks of Down Syndrome, captured the night away when they modeled the wardrobes made by notable designers who showcased their clothing creations during the fashion show.

The best fashion designers and Binibining Pilipinas beauty titleholders, top models, actress and model Ara Mina with the participation of the local models succeeded in advocating the value of mental health.

It was a fashion show that gave emphasis to a message of love and care for those children with special needs.

Congressman Gasataya, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia and the rest of the public applauded the participation of these extraordinary children.

It was very touching seeing these children with special needs collaborate in making this event extra special.

"This is part of the diversity of MassKara festival that showed us how sophisticated MassKara has become. The participation of the children with special needs was the most interesting and emotional part of the event. Their participation means a lot to their parents and to us. It also helped spread the consciousness that they are part of us," Mayor Leonardia said.

Gasataya was tight-lipped by the successful completion of their endeavor that truly touched so many hearts.

"We were able to bring the message that there are people who are really inclined to help those in the midst of challenges either in mental health or physical condition. This is indeed a moving occasion and a celebration as well for all of us as we showed how we care for these children. I am also very thankful for all the fashion icons and designers here and in the country who gave their selfless contribution to make this event a successful one. Bacolod is truly grateful to all who made this initiative possible," he said.
