ARISTOTLE Alcos etched his name into the record books of the Evo League as he scored the most points in a single game with 49 points in their 89-85 conquest of the Dyninno Jets in the E-Leagues for Basketball Season 15 at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court on Sunday, October 13, 2019.
Alcos though did more than just score as he piled up 10 assists and seven rebounds as well to lead the Bulldogs to their sixth straight win and eighth in 11 games.
Yvesse Suan and Ignatius Loyola also played well for the Bulldogs as the former had 20 points, nine rebounds, four steals, three assist and one block and the latter collecting seven markers, 13 boards, five assists, two steals and a block.
Meanwhile, the Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs stayed on top of the EVO League standings after beating last year’s finalists, Kyocera Frontiers, 83-81.
Joey Lucky Juntilla put up 17 points, while Ronald Macua added 10 as the Flying Lemurs grabbed their ninth win against a single loss.
Scoring a critical win were the Optum Knights, who took down the Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties, 73-66. The win allowed the Knights to tighten their grip of the second spot with a 9-2 mark, while the loss pulled the Tech Mighties down to sixth slot with a 7-3 card.
Nicole Sultan paced the Knights with 31 points and was backed by the 12-point showing of Agustin Dakay Jr.
The Amazon Aces, on the other hand, kept the CTC-BPO Panthers winless via a 57-39 decision.
In the other EVO League, Medspecialized (4-7) downed Shearwater (3-8), 67-60. (JNP)
