364 scholars benefit from Tulong Dunong program

AROUND 364 beneficiaries in the Fifth District received certificates of scholarship from Representative Ma. Lourdes Arroyo in a ceremony held on Saturday, October 12, at the Binalbagan Catholic College Gym.

Arroyo said that this the first batch of scholars under the Tulong Dunong Program of the Commission on Higher Education (Ched) in her district.

Most of the students coming from Binbalbagan and Himamaylan were from Binalbagan Catholic College, Carlos Hilado Memorial State College-Binalbagan, Talisay, Alejis, Fortune Town, Western Visayas State University, Central Philippines State University, University of St. La Salle (USLS), San Agustin, La Consolacion, Riverside, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation-Bacolod, VMA Global College & Training Centers Inc., STI West Negros University, and Fellowship Baptist College.

Also present in the event were former mayor Emmanuel Aranda of Binalbagan and Ched Regional Director Karen Catalina Zaldivar.
