Girl raps cop, 2 militiamen of rape

A NEWLY-promoted police officer and two other auxiliary police members in Digos City are facing charges of rape.

Sun.Star Superbalita verified the news against a Police Officer 2 and the two other suspects, whose names the Women and Child Protection Desk (WCPD) have requested to be withheld.

Superintendent Amelia Tugade, chief of the WCPD in Davao del Sur, confirmed that a 16-year-old has filed the complaint after she was arrested for theft inside Gaisano Center in Digos City.

Instead of bringing the girl to the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), she was reportedly brought to a lodging inn and was raped last February 28.

The victim filed her complaint last March 1.

Digos City Police Director Anthony Padua refused to identify the suspects though he confirmed that they have already filed formal charges.

As of this posting, Sun.Star Superbalita is trying to verify whether the suspects are indeed facing formal charges.

The WCPD said they are studying the case thoroughly as the complainant is reportedly mentally ill. (Orlando B. Dinoy)
