FIFTY vendors at the back of the Basilica Minore del Santo Nino along D. Jakosalem St. have until Tuesday, October 22, 2019, to transfer and move to F. Gonzales Street.
Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification, and Enhancement (Probe) chief Raquel Arce said the postponement of the removal of the vendors’ structures and stalls on Thursday, October 17, is due to the demolition of about 50 riverside houses in Barangay Pasil.
She said there will be enough time for the vendors to get ready for their transfer.
On the demolition in Barangay Pasil, Arce said there was no resistance from the residents.
The demolition in Barangay Pasil is part of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) river improvement project. (JJL)
