THE ultimate dream wedding requires a lot of planning, patience, and not to mention, plenty of options. That’s what wedding exhibits are for—all the prime choices under one roof.

Back on its fifth year, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino presented the Cebu Wedding Expo 2019, a two-day fair that went on from Oct. 4 to 5. It was a one-stop shop fair that covered all things when it comes to weddings as it housed industry experts: designers, videographers and stylists, to name a few.

This year’s wedding expo featured different surprises and activities like a series of workshops, trunk shows, and even an assistance desk and creative table display put up in one of the exhibition halls, to help couples with their necessary wedding documents. This made the whole experience not only fun but also helpful and efficient.

Waterfront continued on its quest to bring in something new and unique to the table each year for its attendees. For this year, guests marveled at the collections of the country’s up-and-coming wedding designers for its finale, “Panumpa: The Promise,” held Oct. 5 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom to officially cap off the wedding expo. It presented the ethereal collections of Anthony Ramirez, Cheetah Rivera, Hannah Kong, Jaz Cerezo, Mak Tumang, Martin Bautista, Maureen Disini-Teichert, Patricia Santos (with a special performance by Moira Dela Torre), Rosenthal Tee and Cebu’s very own Vania Romoff.

The designs were worn by top models in the country and personalities including Bb. Pilipinas 2019 finalists Aya Abesamis and Hannah Arnold.

In partnership with master couturier Cary Santiago and Diagold, the show evoked the theme “Modern Filipiniana.” Each designer incorporated at least one ensemble in his or her collections that highlighted the traditional “Filipiniana” dress.

More than presenting something new, the Cebu Wedding Expo 2019 celebrated weddings, the talent and artistry, as well as being an homage to Filipino tradition.
