Clark gov’t agencies join Kabisig PH Gov’t Expo 2019

CLARK FREEPORT -- Various national government agencies in Central Luzon join in the Kabisig Philippine Government Expo 2019 held at SM City Clark.

Kabisig People’s Movement chairperson Daniel Guillen said the expo is a one-stop government information exhibit which features government programs and services.

With this year’s theme “Kaalaman Tungkol sa Pamahalaan: Katuwang sa Kaunlaran”, the project aims to spread the good news about government as an institution strongly committed to a well-informed citizenry.

In his welcome message during the expo’s opening ceremony, Philippine Information Agency (PIA) regional director William Beltran highlighted the importance of information in empowering communities and people.

“I think as government workers, we owe it to the people also to make them well-aware and well-informed of our government’s programs, projects, and services, and how to avail of these services so that they can uplift their lives in the process. Activities like this expo is a great venue to empower our people with the right information, appropriate, and relevant information,” Beltran said.

JCI senator Rafael Angeles, who represented Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin, said events like this which brings the government closer to the people is the real essence of service.

“This fair would serve as a venue for the public to be aware of these agencies and their accomplishments that are not usually publicized in the media, as well as to foster partnership among various agencies towards achieving the country’s development and betterment,” Angeles said.

Participating agencies include PIA, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Dangerous Drugs Board, Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Home Development Mutual Fund, Mines and Geosciences Bureau, National Dairy Authority, National Tobacco Administration, People’s Television Network, Philippine Center for Post-harvest Development and Mechanization, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority.
