Police nab ‘gun-for-hire’ in Zambo Sur

AN ALLEGED gun-for-hire or “contract killer” was arrested in a law enforcement operation in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police said.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Ibrahim Bagel, 40, a resident of Purok 4 in Dalapang Village, Labangan town, Zamboanga del Sur.

Galvez said Bagel was arrested around 8 a.m. Thursday in after being served with a search warrant in his residence in Dalapang, Labangan.

She said confiscated from Bagel were a caliber .45 pistol with seven rounds of live ammunition and a grenade.

The suspect is allegedly a contract killer based on investigation by the Labangan police, Galvez added.

She said investigation further showed that his latest victim was a resident of Dalapang, Labangan. The victim was slain on August 30, this year. (SunStar Zamboanga)
