WHEN deciding which outfit to wear, you probably have several considerations before picking the right one.

Some of the things you look for could be the design, cut, fit and color. There could be times, too, when you choose comfort over aesthetics. However, do you know that you can enjoy comfort without sacrificing the overall look?

I did a survey among friends, including fashion designers and a beauty queen, about their most comfy outfits. You may get ideas from them on how to look and feel good at the same time.

Fashion designer Carmaela Braceros Alcantara always considers a dress as her most comfy outfit. She pairs it with sandals or boots, depending on the weather. Her reason? “Pwedeng mabusog!” This may sound funny, but she definitely has a point!

Another fashion designer, Ron Xavier Santos, picks “uber comfy loungewear jammies” as his usual ensemble. He pairs it with sneakers to make everything comfortable.

Beauty queen Lea May Luna-Panisales, the recently crowned Mrs. Grand Universe, shared this tip: “White plain oversized polo and high-waist tattered jeans. Accessorized with huge loop earrings and fancy sunglasses.”

For entrepreneur Hazel Cristine Yusico, wearing a blue long-sleeve button-down shirt, black shorts and black espadrilles is perfect. According to her, donning the look is both classy and comfy.

Vietnamese writer Nhu Phuong noted that “High waist linen harem and crop top are always my go-to, especially when I travel.”

“I have always had this love for hippie/boho inspired kind of style but it is really difficult to go all the way with that style while traveling. So, I've found harem pants really awesome for traveling comfortably while still not a boring choice of clothing. And not a lot of tops can go well with harem pants and since I found that crop tops were perfect, I haven't looked at any other options,” Nhu pointed out.

For my long-time friend Kathleen Sherbet, who has always been a fashionista, the “boho look is the most comfy style for me because you can wear it with flip-flops, thus, a totally relaxed look.”

Another certified fashionista friend, Iris Ferraris, revealed that her comfy fashion easy grabs are white sneakers with anything.

“It could be with stretchy dresses or shirt and shorts. That way, it will be easier to move and yet look stylish at the same time,” Iris said.

For professional singer Koi Sevilla, a pair of sneakers is the key to a comfortable ensemble.

“Always in sneakers- whether naka-dress or shorts or jeans ‘pag comfortable ang feet, confident and cool,” Koi added.

Fashion does not only mean the design of the pieces you choose. It is also about your comfort while sashaying a stylish ensemble.
