EVERY company has its own way of showing gratitude and appreciation to their workforce.

For homegrown developer Santos Land Development Corporation (SLDC), the company has laid out multiple events and gatherings among employees and staff throughout the year, pouring millions of budget just to treat its people the pampering and incentives they deserve.

“In Santos Land, we always make sure that we make our people feel they are special and valued. For us, it is an important part of growing our business,” SLDC Sales and marketing manager Estela Aguilos said.

Traditionally, SLDC starts the year with an annual recognition to their top and hardworking sellers and brokers. The sales and marketing arm of SLDC were recognized last February in a night of glitz and glamour at Arcadia Lifestyle Center. This is on top of the quarterly sales recognition.

In May, employees and agents gathered in a “summer fun” activity at Eden Nature Park and Resort. The company also had its sports fest among agents with a bowling tournament at Dover Lanes along Bonifacio St., Davao City this month.

The most awaited part and probably the most-wanted incentive that every sales agent aspires is the annual travel incentives.

For this year, five SLDC sales agents hit the required quota to be qualified for the travel incentives. The team toured for almost a month in Scandinavian countries and Russia.

A separate travel incentive was also given to all the company’s marketing staff to Thailand last August.

Aguilos emphasized that these activities made for their people is the company’s way of showing they care for their well-being and appreciate the efforts given by employees and agents.

“It is a compensation for their loyalty and service to the company. This is also an effective motivating factor to meet their (agents) sales target,” she said.

Aguilos added that it also serves as a bonding to their workforce to forge camaraderie and harmonious relationship, vital in growing the business.
