CELSO Garcia captured the Datba weekly tournament title over the weekend at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.
Garcia, with a 20 handicap, rolled 614 pinfalls after three games in the event organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).
He rolled past Crystal Chavez and Ronald Martin who placed second and third, respectively, in the 12-player tournament that serves as qualifying for the monthly finals.
Chavez, whose handicap is 15, hit 591 pinfalls while Martin (30), scored 586.
Garcia pocketed P800 and booked a seat in the October finals slated November 3 while Chavez received P400.
Weekly champions Arthur John Galendez and Gabriel Velasco also booked monthly finals berths along with qualifiers Chavez, Kert Palces, John Tamondong, Dario Beloy, Rod Tongo, Ulysess Caturan, Richard Arigo, Edmund Cambaliza, and Ivan Awid.
Bigger cash prizes and customized trophies await the monthly winners.
