BACOLOD

2nd MassKara children’s party set on Oct. 25

THE Silver MassKara Foundation Inc. will hold its second MassKara Children’s Party in partnership with McDonald’s and Merzci Pasalubong at the Bacolod Government Center in Bacolod City on October 25.

Eli Francis Tajanlangit, Ruby MassKara Festival director, said they started the MassKara Children’s party last 2018 at the Bacolod Government Center during the 80th celebration of Bacolod.

He said the activity was participated by around 1,000 daycare pupils from various daycare centers in the city.

“It was such a success, and that we are coming back with just a party for children with our partners as well as Councilor Cindy Rojas, the implementing officer of the activity,” he added.

Rojas, chairperson of the City Council committee on family and child care development, said this year, they will tap about 1,000 daycare pupils from 25 daycare centers in various barangays in the city as beneficiaries of the said activity.

“We have 122 daycare centers here. But for now, we will tap 25 daycare centers because every daycare center has a total of more than 40 pupils,” she added.

Rojas noted the event will start at 9 a.m. at the Bacolod Government Center.

She said there will be the cutting of a giant cake, provided by Merzci, a photo booth, cotton candy and popcorn, and clowns to entertain the children.

McDonald’s will also hold games while Merzci will also provide more than 1,000 pieces of cupcakes for the daycare pupils.

“We are thankful to McDonald’s and Merzci for supporting the city’s MassKara Festival. This is for our children,” Rojas said.

Grace Elizalde, McDonald’s head office operations consultant, and Gerlie Liguaton, local store marketing coordinator, also said that they are happy to be part of said activity and they will continue to help the city’s program.
