The Warlords collected a 72-58 win over the Guba Society in the Southside Basketball League Season 4 at the Sacred Heart Center basketball court last Saturday, October 19, 2019.
Edsun Tabar filled the stat-sheet up as he scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out four assists to help the Warlords conquer the Guba Society, which set the tone for the lopsided match early by going up 20-10 after the first canto.
Guba Society was able to pull closer, 42-44, but Warlords once again pulled away in the final canto to register the victory.
In other games, JL Engineering tripped Triple Double, 87-72. Jerome Wagas scored 14 points for the winning side, which asserted itself in the second half after leading by just seven, 42-35, at halftime.
And finally, Brayden’s Food Products came away with a thrilling 87-84 victory over Bruno Auto Accessories. Anjun Roquinaza scored 18 points to pace Brayden’s, which trailed 51-57 at the end of the third canto, before exploding for a whopping 36 points in the final period. (SunStar Cebu)
