AUTHORITIES arrested on Thursday morning, October 24, two Americans who were allegedly involved in selling of illegal drug “kush oil” in Angeles City in Pampanga.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Luzon Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the arrested suspects as Paul Montemayor, 42, and Shaneeka McAlister, 38, who are residing in Barangay Anunas in Angeles City.

He said the two Americans yielded kush oil worth around P14,000 during a drug bust on Thursday morning.

Kush oil is extracted from the kush cannabis plant, which is a high-grade type of marijuana that has a “mind-altering” effect.

Aspacio said Montemayor works as a disc jockey in Angeles while McAlister is in the country on a tourist visa. She is a former English teacher in South Korea.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects who are detained at the PDEA jail in Angeles.

In Cavite, another foreigner was nabbed over his involvement in illegal drugs.

A report by the local police said Leonard Ohaeri, a Nigerian national, was arrested in a drug bust on Wednesday morning in a convenience store in Barangay Bayan Luma 4 in Imus City.

Ohaeri, who resides in BF Resort subdivision in Las Piñas City in Metro Manila, sold P200,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu to a poseur buyer.

During the search, police found another plastic bag containing shabu on Ohaeri.

A total of 220 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P1.36 million were seized from the suspect. (SunStar Philippines)
