A restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike is Antica Osteria Ristoranti Italiano. The restaurant prepares Italian food in the most authentic way possible. On its menu are Italian wines that are best paired with its cold cuts and cheeses, arborio riso and pizza and pasta. A must-try pasta on its menu and a crowd favorite is the pasta con broccoli e gamberi or simply translated as pasta with broccoli and shrimp.

Trattoria da Gianni

Crossroads Mall, Gov. M. Cuenco Ave., Cebu City

Trattoria means a place for Italian home-cooked goodness. In Trattoria da Gianni, the restaurant features time-honored Italian recipes and recipes from the Giudecelli family kitchen. Trattoria da Gianni stays true to the Italian way of cooking, that is simplicity, as the restaurant offers home-cooked dishes at their best. A Gianni pasta favorite is the Ragu della Nonna. It’s a pasta dish made of spaghetti with tomato meat sauce and Parmigiano Reggiano. Another notable favorite is the Pesto Genovese which is spaghetti with homemade pesto.

Pigafetta

Axis Entertainment Ave., N. Escario St., Cebu City

Pigafetta offers an Italian gastronomic experience with its selection of authentic dishes that are sure to satisfy your Italian cravings. The restaurant was aptly named after Pigafetta, the first Italian who arrived in Cebu and chronicled Magellan’s discovery of the Philippines. With the restaurant’s many mouth-watering and savory plates, a few standouts from its menu are the Alla Bolognese, which is a dish made of fettucine with meat sauce, and its Vongole pasta, made of linguine with clams, garlic and white wine.

Guiseppe Pizzeria & Sicilian Roast

Guiseppe Pizzeria & Sicilian Roast is not just home to a few of Cebu’s best-tasting and authentic Italian pizzas but is also the go-to restaurant for the finest pastas in town. Its dishes are homemade and the flavors are undoubtedly authentic like its bestselling pastas: Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Peperoncino, Spaghetti Carbonara and Spaghetti Marinara.

La Nostra Pizzeria Napoletana

La Nostra Pizzeria Napoletana is easily one of the favorite pizzerias in the island. A definite must-try even for the locals for the restaurant offers great pizza and great pasta paired with exceptional service and an awesome ambiance.
