ABOITIZ InfraCapital (AIC), the infrastructure arm of the Aboitiz Group, turned over dental equipment to the City of Lapu-Lapu in a ceremony on October 23, 2019.
The donation was sealed with a signing of the memorandum of agreement between the City Government, represented by Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan, and Jay Gatmaitan, AVP of Aboitiz Infracapital. The signing was witnessed by city officials.
The donation is part of the Aboitiz Group’s commitment to advancing business and communities, particularly in Lapu-Lapu City.
Aboitiz InfraCapital strongly believes in complementing infrastructure developments with social programs to further drive inclusive growth in the communities it serves.
“We are committed and passionate about delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions, especially in water, to address the looming crisis in Lapu-Lapu City and the rest of Cebu. We would be glad to look at any opportunities, including current offers, to ensure that the best and most advantageous solution is accorded to Lapu-Lapu and the rest of Cebu,” Gatmaitan said.
The donation is a testament to Aboitiz’s commitment to contribute to Metro Cebu’s sustainable urban development by providing public infrastructure to serve the needs of the citizens whether in water, transport and other infrastructure. (PR)
