2 suspects with ‘shabu’ nabbed in separate incidents in Talisay

A BROTHER of a member of the Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) non-uniformed personnel was nabbed in a buy-bust by the Talisay City Police Office Thursday night, Oct. 24, 2019.

Bernard Delfin, 57, a resident of Barangay Bulacao, Talisay, was identified by police as a high-value target.

Seized from Delfin were one large pack and 26 sachets of white substance believed to be shabu with a street value of some P33,000. The confiscated substance weighed a total of 4.78 grams.

During investigation, Talisay police discovered that Delfin is a brother of a CPPO non-uniformed personnel. Such personnel work mostly on administrative jobs in the CPPO.

Police also found out that the Delfin brothers lived in the same house on Abores St. in Barangay Bulacao.

The next step for the police was to investigate if the brother has any involvement in the illegal drug trade.

In another incident, Talisay police members arrested Gabriel Reyes Ong, 27, suspected to be a street-level pusher.

He was arrested also in Barangay Bulacao past 9 p.m. Thursday.

Confiscated from Ong were 13 sachets of substance suspected to be shabu. (FMD of Superbalita Cebu/RTF)
