PDEA seizes P102,000 shabu in Bacolod

AN ESTIMATED P102,000 worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) was seized in a drug bust conducted by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Western Visayas in Purok Kasagingan, Barangay Banago Thursday, October 24.

The operations also led to the arrest of Felizardo Londres, Erwin Villacaster, Jhon Dave Solis, and Jhon Paul Quinanola, all residents of Barangay Banago.

PDEA records showed that the suspects were arrested by a PDEA agent who acted as buyer of a sachet of shabu around 5 p.m.

Recovered from the suspects' possession were several sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams and the marked money.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of PDEA and are facing charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, a security guard was arrested after he was caught by his colleagues stealing construction materials outside the Ceres Compound in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City Thursday evening, October 24.

Police identified the suspect as Ysar Hilario, security guard of Ceres detailed at the Vallacar Transit Incorporated (VTI) main office in Barangay Mansilingan.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said Hilario, a resident of La Carloata City, was arrested by his colleagues Mike Seridon and Ricky Dimson for stealing assorted construction materials worth P30,000 owned by the VTI at 8:05 p.m.

He said the suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 7 and facing qualified theft charges.
