Muhlach, Dixson stars in 1st Pinoy film shot in Greenland

NUUK, the capital of Greenland, is also the title of the Aga Muhlach-Alice Dixson reunion movie produced by Viva Films. “Nuuk” is also the first Filipino film to be shot in Greenland, giving Filipinos a new cinematic experience.

Under the direction of Veronica “Roni” Velasco, the trailer shows Dixson’s character panicking after being told that what she sees isn’t exactly how those around her see the world.

Muhlach and Dixson really had to prepare themselves for the movie knowing that it is going to be in a sub-zero setting.

“Shooting there is no joke. You will realize that your body can’t stand to stay outside for about 10 hours with the negative temperature. We really had to take a break to warm ourselves,” shared Dixson to the Cebu press. According to Muhlach, the movie will mystify viewers with the sudden plot twists.

“When you watch it, you will think that you already know the movie but you will be wrong,” he said.

The movie screened at the fifth Danish Film Festival on Oct. 9, 12 and 13 at Cinema 4 of the Red Carpet, Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City. It is set to premiere in cinemas nationwide on Nov. 6.
