ABOITIZ InfraCapital (AIC), the infrastructure arm of the Aboitiz Group, turned over dental equipment to the Lapu-Lapu City Government in a simple ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019.
The donation was sealed with a signing of the memorandum of agreement between the City represented by Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan and AIC assistant vice president Jay Gatmaitan. The event was witnessed by local city officials.
The donation was part of Aboitiz Group’s commitment to advance business and communities, particularly in Lapu-Lapu City.
AIC believes in complementing infrastructure developments with social programs to further drive inclusive growth in the communities it serves.
“We are committed and passionate about delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions, especially in water, to address the looming crisis in Lapu-Lapu City and the rest of Cebu. We would be glad to look at any opportunities, including current offers, to ensure that the best and most advantageous solution is accorded to Lapu-Lapu and the rest of Cebu,” Gatmaitan said.
The donation is a testament to Aboitiz’s commitment to contribute to Metro Cebu’s sustainable urban development by providing public infrastructure, which would serve the needs of the citizens. (S)
