P45,000 shabu seized in Barangay 30

AN ESTIMATED P45,000 worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) was seized in a drug bust conducted by operatives of Police Station 8 at Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay 30, Bacolod City Monday morning, October 28, 2019.

The operation also led to the arrest of Prince Arcenas, 23, of Barangay 30.

Police Major Charles Gever, chief of Police Station 8, said Arcenas was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover at about 2:30 a.m.

Police recovered from Arcenas’s possession six sachets of shabu and the P200 marked money.

Gever said the suspect was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

He said the suspect admitted that he has a supplier here, but he refused to divulge further information.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the fifth most wanted person in Police Station 10 was arrested for violation of illegal drugs at Purok Sto. Domingo, Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City.

Arrested was Jacob Paypon of Barangay Handumanan.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said Paypon was arrested by virtue of arrest warrant for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 with no bail recommended.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Philadelfa Agraviador of Regional Trial Court in Bacolod City. (MAP)
