THE City Government of Mabalacat, led by Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, hosted the first ever Halloween party in the city.
Offices at City Hall were spruced up with skeletons, coffins, mock crypts of the beleaguered Barrettos, Jack-o-Lanterns, manananggals, bat patterns, witches and other crafts that made the occasion fun, cute, colorful, dark and spooky.
Kids wearing superheroes and witch costumes, and other cute impersonators playfully accosted for sweets from the mayor's staff who were well prepared for the hunt.
Garbo and Vice Mayor Geld Aquino led the giving out of candies to young hoarders.
"Truly, it was a day when everybody else will share a sweet or two to the lovable creatures. This is also our way of giving our children treats with a fun-filled experience," Garbo said.
Erwin Narciso, City Government utility and electrician, thanked Garbo for the treat to their children.
"We are grateful to Mayor Cris Garbo, for a fun-filled treat that our children have experienced. Ngayon lamang po ito nangyari sa pamamalakad ng ating City Hall na ang isang mayor na katulad niya lamang ang nagbigay ng kasiyahan sa paggunita ng Halloween," Narciso said.
