Fisherman yields P450-K shabu in drug sting

A FISHERMAN, who has been tagged as a big-time drug personality, was arrested in a sting operation in Zamboanga City Tuesday, October 29.

Madzker Tahil, 33, was arrested at around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday on Don Alfaro Street in the village of Tetuan.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, said the suspect was caught in possession of some P450,000 worth of suspected shabu, one cellular phone, and P200 marked money consisting of two P100 bills.

Duco said Tahil had been under surveillance for the past days.

The suspect was detained. He will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
