FIVE persons, one of them said to be connected to a “drug queen,” were busted for drugs in Sitio Tambis, Barangay Pooc, Talisay City on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019.
Arrested during the operation were Aretche Bolo, 42; Abner Alforque, 58; Jesson Evangelio, 34; Dennis Laborada, 36; and Chona Bacaresas, 37.
Police Lt. Col. Marlu Conag, head of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), said they recovered five medium packs and 11 small packs of what may be shabu worth P44,744 in the market.
Conag said Bolo was the main target.
Bolo was in the police watchlist of high value drug targets in Cebu Province.
He said Bolo was a trusted cohort of Arglu Jake Garces, a former lover of Jocelyn Encila, said to be Consolacion’s drug queen.
Encila was arrested in Consolacion earlier in 2019. She yielded close to P190 million worth of suspected shabu.
Conag said that Laborada, one of those arrested, was a hit-man for Bolo and that he was allegedly involved as a gun-for-hire.
But Laborada, in a separate interview, denied being Bolo’s hit-man but said he was currently facing a murder charge for killing someone when he was still 17. (From BBT of SuperBalita Cebu, JKV)
