City honors mother and child triathlete

A MOTHER and child triathlete who recently made waves in the New Clark City Triathlon 2019 get a citation from the City Council.

Marissa Cayowet, a mother and a government employee of the Commission on Audit-Cordillera Administrative Region, topped the triathlon's 40-44 years old category, while her son, Remsen Balog-asan Cayowet, an eight-year-old triathlete and a student of Sped Baguio, won third place in the 8-10-year-old kid triathlon category.

Councilor Arthur Allad-iw, in his commendation resolution, said the historical achievements of Marissa and her son are not only for themselves and their family but more so as an inspiration to the City of Baguio and the whole Cordillera.
