ANGELES CITY -- A university and the local police have signed an agreement to enhance the criminology program of the school.

Angeles University Foundation (AUF) and the Angeles City Police Office (Acpo) forged its partnership through the ceremonial signing of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) on October 29.

AUF university president Joseph Angeles and Acpo City director Joyce Patrick Sangalang led the MOA signing at the AUF Boardroom.

The agreement aims to enhance the implementation of academic and community extension programs of the university as a center of excellence in Criminology.

The police also assured the quality of recruits and future law enforcement personnel in the service, who are responsive to the Philippine National Police's (PNP) long-term goal under Patrol Plan 2030.

Also present during the signing were AUF-College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) dean Lucia Hipolito and Acpo deputy assistant director for Administration Kenneth DG Vega, who served as witnesses; vice president for Academic Affairs Archimedes David, AUF-CCJE assistant dean Alfie Sarmiento, and faculty members; Acpo acting chief of City Community Affairs Division Branch Melencio Santos; Acpo Station 6 commander Ronald Macalino; and Public Information Office chief Agnes Nolasco.

The AUF-CCJE is the only center of excellence in Central Luzon.
