TWO people, including a port employee, were injured in an early morning shootout on All Saints’ Day, November 1, in Zamboanga del Sur, the police said.
Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the injured protagonists as Frederick Tejano and Victor Tumbok, 46.
Galvez said investigation showed that Tejano was walking along Pajares Avenue in Santiago Village around 1:30 a.m. Friday when shot by Tumbok, a fish port employee.
Galvez added that Tejano, although wounded, managed to pull his firearm and shot and injured Tumbok.
The police officer said Tumbok fled aboard a motorcycle but was intercepted by responding intelligence personnel of the Pagadian City police station.
Both protagonists were hospitalized for treatment, Galvez added. (SunStar Zamboanga)
