He was accused of frustrated murder after he allegedly shot his sister-in-law, Elisa Argoncillo, on Friday night, November 1, in Barangay Jolomaynon in the same town.

Before Dibdib shot Argoncillo, he reportedly threatened to kill his wife’s relatives who allegedly maligned him.

Argoncillo is currently in critical condition at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

Following the incident, local police immediately looked for Dibdib.

One of Argoncillo’s relatives told investigators they saw Dibdib returning to his family home in Barangay Sacsac to hide.

When police arrived at Dibdib’s house, they asked him to surrender.

But when Dibdib emerged from the house, he allegedly shot at the police officers, prompting them to fire back.
