Becoming a wife and mom

CALL me desperate, but I have once searched it in the internet.

As a wife and a mother, we want our family to be always protected from sickness. We want to provide the things that they need as well as the things they want. We want to be the best in their eyes. We are just being ourselves, trying to be “perfect.”

Maybe all of these stemmed from our experiences as a child. We witnessed how life has been so hard on us that we don’t want our own family to experience it.

How to become a perfect mom and wife?

We can make our list long, but can these things make us truly happy?

We must not forget that we don’t need to be perfect in order to be happy, but we can choose to be happy and that makes everything perfect.

We don’t need a perfect life. We want a happy life.

I have posted this on my Instagram account (@mommyaracasastumuran) and some moms have also shared their two cents. Here are heartwarming comments:

Andrea C. Taylor (@andreac_taylor) – I have learned to accept that my husband doesn’t need a perfect wife or a perfect mother to his children. He verbally told me that he prefers to have a happy wife rather than someone who keeps pressuring herself to become someone she is not.

Sunshine Espiritu (@everybodyssunshine) - I am so far from being perfect. I just have a very loving husband and kids who love me despite being imperfect and that’s all I ever need.

Marga Reyes (@margadiaries) - My family keeps me going.

Julianne Cadee (@juliannecadee) - I’m far from being a perfect mom. Cadee’s dad and I are not together anymore but I make sure she is well taken care of and loved.
