A POLICE officer killed himself in an apparent suicide inside a hotel in Catarman, Northern Samar Sunday evening, November 3.
The victim was identified as Patrolman Willard Castillo, 27, single, who was assigned at the Northern Samar Provincial Police Office.
Castillo shot his head using his own firearm, resulting in his instantaneous death.
Responding policemen from Catarman Municipal Police Station led by Staff Sergeant Ernesto Badocdoc found Castillo's body inside the hotel around 6:45 p.m. Sunday, November 3.
Police investigation revealed that Castillo recently underwent medical treatment due to mental disorder.
