INVESTIGATORS of the Anti Cybercrime Group (ACG) 7 are now tracking a man with a foreign-sounding name who reportedly spread a video showing a nude 22-year-old Cebuana.
The victim, Susan (not her real name), together with her mother, reported the incident to the ACG 7 office in Cebu City on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019.
Susan, a resident of T. Padilla St. in Cebu City, filed a complaint against a certain Saleem Khan Afridi, whom she met on Facebook last September.
In one of their conversations, Afridi asked her to show parts of her upper body. She consented.
Susan recalled that she noticed that during the video call, Afridi took a picture of her while she was naked.
The following day, she received another video call from Afridi, who showed her his private parts. He then asked Susan to undress herself in exchange for money. She again obliged Afridi and played with her private parts.
Afridi later asked her to have sex with him. He threatened to spread Susan’s naked photos and videos if she would not agree. She did not agree.
Last Oct. 26, Susan could no longer log into her Facebook account. So, she asked for her friends to help her reclaim her account.
Susan was shocked when her relatives received videos of her naked self. Her mother could not believe it, describing it as vulgar. The videos were sent through Facebook Messenger.
She does not know if Afridi is in Cebu as the latter demanded to have sex with her.
She is also not sure if the suspect is a foreigner as during their video calls, Afridi showed only his private parts, but not his face.
Susan’s mother could not understand why her daughter entertained a stranger.
The mother said her daughter graduated from a university in Cebu City.
The family is not poor as the mother is an online seller.
“Naglagot ko. Gipa-eskwela gyud unta nako og tarong. Kon buot hunahunaon, provided baya silang tanan kay ang ilang amahan seaman baya (I am angry. She was sent to school. She and her siblings are provided all their needs because their father works as a seaman),” the mother said.
She said the things that Susan needed were always given to her.
“I’m confused because she is already in the right age. She is supposed to think what is the right thing to do,” the mother said in Cebuano. (From AYB of SuperBalita Cebu, MVG)
