MTRCB to bring 7th Family and Child Summit to Isabela

THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) will bring the third leg of its 7th Family and Child Summit to northern Luzon, particularly to the province of Isabela, with the theme "The Filipino Family and the Philippine Cinema Through the Years."

The summit will take place at the Ampitheater of Isabela State University (Main Campus) on November 8 (Friday) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event aims to promote Filipino values to the younger generation and to reflect how the Filipino family is depicted in Philippine cinema through the years. It also aims to honor local filmmakers who have greatly contributed to the industry.

MTRCB chairperson Rachel Arenas will give the opening remarks. She and her board members are inviting media partners in the region to attend and cover the discussions with noted resource persons. There will also be a film showing and an open forum.

The event will be hosted by MTRCB board members Dennis Padilla, Paolo Santos and Marco "Bogart" Ho. Isabela State University president Ricmar Aquino will deliver the welcome remarks.

Journalists and bloggers who wish to join the press conference must register at 11 a.m. at the venue.

For more information, call the MTRCB Public Information Office (look for Robbi Ramos or Alyanna Tobia) at (02) 83767380 local 114. (Edmund Silvestre)
