CEBUANO basketball star Macmac Tallo has found a new lease on his basketball life as he was scooped up by the powerhouse Manila Stars in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Season.

The 25-year old son of one-time PBA player Mark Tallo was unceremoniously released by the Bacolod Master Sardines a few weeks back and has since been without a squad to play for.

Tallo relayed that it was his “misunderstandings” with head coach Vic Ycasiano that led to his ouster from the squad.

After what he described as a very stressful few weeks, Tallo finally saw a break in the clouds as he was picked up by the Stars and signed to a season-long contract on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

In an exclusive talk with SunStar Cebu, Tallo shared how elated he is with this development.

“Praise God! Sobrang saya kasi playing with Manila gives me a chance to play in the playoffs and it’s an advantage for me kasi this might be an opportunity na makabalik ako ulit sa PBA,” said the 6-foot-1 guard.

Tallo added that he is relishing the chance to improve his game as he gets to work alongside former PBA players such as Carlo Lastimosa and Marvin Hayes.

“It’s exciting kasi for all I know, marami ko pa kailangan i-improve. And a strong team like Manila would help me. Kasi lahat ng players dito magagaling kaya malamang everyday dito 100 percent parang PBA ambiance lang. Sobrang excited na ako,” Tallo said.
