Police nab 3, seize P32,000 ‘shabu’ in anti-drug strings

THREE people, including a newly-identified drug personality, were arrested while some P32,500 suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police said Wednesday, November 6.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Jason Agravante, 43; Jose Patagoc, 27; and Loric Francisco, 24.

Duco said Agravante was caught in possession of some P1,200 worth of suspect shabu and P300 marked money when arrested by the Police Station 8 operatives around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Sinunuc Village.

He said seized from the possession of Patagoc were some P30,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money when arrested by the Police Station 3 operatives around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday at Doña Martha Drive in San Jose Gusu Village.

Patagoc is a newly-identified drug pusher, according to Duco.

He said Francisco was arrested by the operatives of the Police Station 7 around 9 p.m. Tuesday at Ramillano Drive in Tumaga Village.

Seized from Francisco were some P1,300 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money, the police officer said.

He added the suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
