A MALE body was found inside a car late Tuesday afternoon, November 5, 2019.
The man was reportedly shot by unidentified gunmen in Purok Tumpok, Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City.
Police identified the fatality as Jethro Baldecasa, a resident of Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.
Based on information provided by the Talisay City Police Station, Baldecasa sustained six gunshot wounds. Four of the wounds were in the back with exit wounds on the chest, while the other two were on his left and right hands.
The vehicle, a red Sedan, was owned by Corazon Macalde and Divine Grace Fernandez, who own a rent-a-car business.
When cops performed further check on the vehicle's background, they discovered that the car was rented last October 31 by still unidentified individuals. They also pointed out the vehicle had three passengers prior to the incident.
Police are also investigating if the red Sedan had links to a report they received around 8 a.m. Tuesday, wherein a concerned citizen from Barangay Zone 9 claimed that he saw the red car being chased and being shot at by unidentified men riding a van.
The police are also investigating reports that the incident is drug related as claimed by some of the victim's relatives.
