MisOr Board committee concludes P3.6-B budget deliberation

THE deliberation of the P3.6-billion 2020 budget at the committee on appropriation of the Provincial Board of Misamis Oriental finished on October 30.

During the budget hearings headed by the committee chair board member Wayne Militante, local finance committee chair Ronald Violon reported the sources of funds followed by discussions on the proposed expenses.

Each department and office presented their respective proposals which would account for all the necessary expenses to render basic services to the people of the province.

The report will be made and submitted to the Provincial Board in its regular session on November 11, to support the General Annual Ordinance 2020.

Militante said he is hopeful that the budget will be approved on time so it can be submitted to the Department of Budget and Management for review before the year ends.

Governor Yevgeny Emano lauded the prompt and timely deliberation of the annual budget.

“Any delay on the proposal which still has to undergo a lot of procedure with other government agencies or its non-approval before the end of the year would result to re-enactment of the budget for the year 2019. New services and projects are proposed for the year 2020 and it should already be implemented at the start of the year.” Emano said.
