Students get P1.9-M educational assistance

PAMPANGA. The Provincial Government of Pampanga distributed P1.9-million educational assistance to student-beneficiaries from several towns of Pampanga. (PIO)

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Some P1.9 million was given by the Provincial Government of Pampanga to 358 student-beneficiaries from several towns as part of its educational assistance for indigent students.

Vice Governor Lilia Pineda led the distribution of assistance at Benigno Hall at the Capitol grounds.

"After you graduate, help your parents. You should give back to them all their sacrifices just to provide all your needs," Pineda said.

Governor Dennis Pineda, meanwhile, sent his regards to the student beneficiaries.

"Nurture your education, because it is the best gift that your parents could ever give you," he said in a message.

Also present during the event were Board Members Olga Frances David Dizon, Ananias Canlas Jr., Nelson Calara, Benny Jocson, Pampanga Councilor's League president Venancio Macapagal, and Pampanga Liga ng mga Barangay president Renato Mutuc.

The distribution was facilitated by the Provincial Library, led by Jasmine Carla Cordero, in coordination with the Provincial Treasurer's Office.
