CeC survives HNU by 1

THE Cristal e-College (CeC) tripped the Holy Name University (HNU), 103-102, in the Juniors division of the Bohol Schools Athletic Association (BSAA) Season 9 basketball tournament at the University of Bohol gym in Tagbilaran City on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019.

Juhnedel Mijos took charge for CeC as he scored 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds to go with his three assists, two steals and a block to help his team withstand HNU’s comeback try.

Jeric Udarbe and Kim Aba-a added 16 points apiece, Airel Loretero chipped in 12 while Jairo Arcay contributed 11 points for CeC.

The loss spoiled the 31-point outing of HNU’s Ulysses Agocoy and the 25 points of Jhan Ampoloquio. Caster Suaybaguio was likewise brilliant for HNU as he produced 21 points in the loss.

In the other game, the Mater Dei College trounced the Victoriano D. Tirol Advanced Learning Center, 105-51. Alvin Petallar spearheaded MDC’s charge with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds to go with a steal.

MDC completely dominated the second half of this game, outscoring their opponents, 55-24, to come away with the lopsided victory. (JNP)
