P140,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Barangay 2

AN ESTIMATED P140,000 worth of “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 2 at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Friday morning, November 8.

The operation also led to the arrest of Romeo Esio, 27, of Barangay 2.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said Esio was arrested after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover at about 4:05 a.m.

Police recovered from Esio’s possession six sachets of suspected shabu, and the P300 marked money.

Pico said Esio was identified as street level target and was included in the drug watchlist of BCPO.

He said the suspect was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 2 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
