4 students caught in pot session at a resort

NEW WASHINGTON, Aklan -- At least four college students was arrested by the local drug enforcement authority after they were caught having pot session at a cottage of a private resort in Barangay Tambak on Friday night, November 8.

Police Major Frensy Andrade, team leader of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), identified the suspects as Robby Tabulinal, 20, of Barangay Nee Buswang, Kalibo; Von Gielo Ambrocio, 19, of Barangay Ambulong Batan, Aklan; Keno Dave Supetran Dela Torre, 19, of Boracay Island; and Angelo Vrian John Agustin of San Jose, Romblon.

Andrade said the suspects were caught having a pot session after police operatives conducted a drug bust against them.

Each of the suspects were caught carrying sachets of marijuana leaves. At least two cannabis oil bottles were also taken from the suspects.

“We will subject the suspects under drug test. We received reports that they are doing the pot session every Friday,” the police official said.

The police requested a non-disclosure of their schools’ pending verification if the suspects are enrolled.

The students decline to air their side during the police operation.
