TARLAC CITY -- It has been a lingering thought among members of Tarlac High School (THS) Batch ‘69 of what will be the binding force that will propel the association into a greater phase of camaraderie and unity of purpose after the 50th Alumni Homecoming Celebration.

The new President, Dr. Manuel J. Navarro, brought out the idea of binding the members of THS Batch ‘69 into a cooperative moment that will help provide more services to batch members and the immediate members of their families, and to sustain the outreach projects of the association.

With the convincing power of Dr. Navarro, the idea of a cooperative for THS Batch ‘69 that will heighten the interest of all Batch ’69 members was supported by many of its members which culminated in the series of cooperative seminars attended initially by 32 batchmates as required for Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) for the cooperative to be recognized and accredited.

The tedious preparation of documents for the THS Batch ’69 Alumni Credit Cooperative was handled by THS Batch ’69 members namely, Regino Balibat, Jess Tuazon, Ettah Rafael. Merlita David Garcia, Susan Lopez Montano, Terisita Suarez, Bart Cayabyab and the abled assistance of Mr. Leody Balanquit, Coop Development Division Supervisor of the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO).

As always, behind all these activities for the accreditation of the cooperative there is the solid support of president Navarro, through his advice, moral support, and financial support of the meetings at Kart City and Urdu Restaurant and trips to CDA, Regional Office at the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

So after the long tedious and hunger laden trips to CDA, regional offices made by batchmates, Ettah Rafael, Merlita David Garcia and Teresita Suarez, Marieta P. Hwang, the Regional Director of CDA-Central Luzon approved the Tarlac High School Batch 1969 Alumni Credit Cooperative Certificate of Compliance and Certificate of Accreditation.

The once an idea and dream is now a reality.
