AUF grads top psychometrician exams

ANGELES CITY -- At least four students from a university topped the recently concluded 2019 Psychometrician Licensure Exams.

Graduates from the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) were Christian Jemverick Manio who placed at the Top 3, Nicole Jane Macalino at Top 4, Gabrielle Ann Canlas at Top 5, and Denise Janelle Soriano at Top 10.

A total of 37 new Angelenean psychometricians posted 90.24 percent overall passing rate in the October 2019 Psychometrician Licensure Exams, while first-time takers posted a 94.74 percent passing rate.

According to data from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), AUF ranked first among private universities in Central Luzon. The national passing rate is 63.73 percent.

AUF has been known to produce top notchers in various licensure exams.

In the past years, AUF has been designated by the Commission on Higher Education (Ched) as an autonomous university and as a center of excellence in information technology education, Teacher Education, and Criminology, and Center of Development in Computer Engineering and Nursing.

AUF offers the most programs accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (Paascu) in Central Luzon, the oldest and most reputable accrediting body in Southeast Asia.

AUF was founded in 1962 by Agustin Angeles, Dr. Barbara Angeles, and family. In 1971, the institution was granted the university status by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. In 1978, AUF became the first Catholic university in Central Luzon.
