Pampanga's most wanted person nabbed

A 32-YEAR-OLD man tagged as the most wanted person of Pampanga was arrested recently by operatives of Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Branch in Porac town.

Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia, regional director of Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3), identified the suspect as Daryll Dela Cruz, 32, a resident of Barangay Tocwing in Porac town.

Dela Cruz, who was arrested in Jose Lapid District Hospital in the said town, was allegedly the prime suspect in the killing of Larry Tolentino, a construction worker, way back in 2008.

He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Third Judicial Region of Angeles City for the said crime, as well as for his involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Sermonia said Dela Cruz' arrest is part of PRO-3's renewed drive to account for most wanted persons, especially those who are involved in illegal drugs and other high profile crimes.

Aside from Dela Cruz, 24 other wanted personalities were also arrested in the region for this week alone, Sermonia added.
