2 nabbed, P1.3-M shabu seized in drug stings



TWO people, including a factory worker, were arrested while over P1.3 million worth of shabu were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City over the weekend.

Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects Ameer Pula, 23, a factory worker, and Feliciano Asilo, Jr, 39.

Martir said Pula was arrested in a drug bust around 8 p.m. Sunday in Purok 3B in the village of Recodo.

He was caught in possession of some P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu packed in four large-size heat-sealed plastic sachets, 99 pieces boodle money of P1,000 topped with P1,000 genuine bill used as marked money, a carton box and a paper bag.

Martir said seized from the possession of Asilo were some P3,800 worth of suspected shabu packed in two heat-sealed plastic sachets and P300 marked money when arrested in a drug bust around 4:05 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Bello Drive in the village of Santa Maria, this city.

He said the suspects were detained while formal charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
