WHETHER you are heading to a domestic destination or to an international one, there are several things you need to consider. Of course, fashion is among them.

As you get excited planning for your much-awaited trip, you have to include the necessary things and outfits you must bring.

I asked some frequent travelers for the best advice to fully enjoy a trip, especially when it comes to fashion. Here are the tips I got from them:

Mahalia Albino

Bring enough tops. This is Mahalia Albino’s number 1 advice for travelers.

“Plan your #OOTD ahead of time and make sure you have enough tops to have different OOTD in every place you go. You can always wear your bottoms/pants two to three times but your top is key to your OOTD. Also, invest on good shoes.”

Golda Divinagracia

Bring colorful pieces. This advice is from entrepreneur and beauty expert Golda Divinagracia.

“Get as colorful tops, scarves and accessories as you can... this will pop on your photos and will bring your outfits to life. The mix 'n' matching will also help you to not bring so much in your luggage but serve the purpose of giving the impression you have so many outfits.”

Carmaela Alcantara

Never forget a good scarf. Entrepreneur-fashion designer Carmaela Alcantara shared that she always makes it a point to bring a good scarf when traveling because of its versatility. You can even use it as a shopping bag.

“Pwedeng ‘blanket’, cover for wind, protection against cold for lamigin like me. Pwede ring shade when it’s too sunny or extra bag for unexpected shopping. All while being fashionable.”

Frances Mae Magapagat

Never sacrifice comfort for style. For Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Davao head Frances Mae Macapagat, balance is key when talking about travel OOTD.

“First, check the weather on the days when you'll be on travel. I love traveling during autumn or fall coz it's the time I could flex my trench coats, sweater, turtlenecks, and boots. If your travel is for leisure, trust on your white sneakers to give you comfort and longevity in strolling and lots of walking. Always prepare for comfort and protection like a thermaheat inner wear during autumn and winter; or a bucket hat; a legit pair of sunnies; and bottles of 50+++ sunscreen lotion during summer. Bottomline, always have a balance of comfort, protection, and style.

Sheryll Jane Fernandez

For girls, do not forget the lippies. For public information officer Sheryll Jane Fernandez, bringing at least three shades of lipstick is essential.

“Plan your OOTDs based on your daily travel itinerary. If you’re traveling with the boyfie/hubby, it’s also fun and cute to color-coordinate your outfit palettes. Bring at least three lippie shades to wear solo or mix and match, i.e vampy brown, cool red and your trusty MLBB nude.”

Traveling is always fun! Therefore, your photos must show it. And to do that, your OOTDs must cooperate. You have to bear in mind, though, that you are both feeling comfortable and looking fashionable in whatever outfit or ensemble you choose to pack.
