THE Demand Science Paladins got their acts together to snatch a 73-61 win over the Shearwater Health Crusaders in the EVO League of the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball Season 15 at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
The win snapped the four-game losing streak of the Paladins, to improve to 3-10 (win-loss). Jeffer Ardiente spearheaded the Paladins’ charge by posting 23 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks, two assist and two steals. John Camasura added 18 points, while Jhon Camasura completed his own double-double with 11 points, 11 boards, five assists and two blocks. Francis Manzanares also had a productive outing for Demand Science as he finished with 11 points, seven assists and two boards.
Meanwhile, the Dynata Warriors extended their winning run to seven games with an 84-66 rout of the Fluor Pandas. Tommy Ugsimar tallied 19 points, Dennis Poquita fired in 18, Russef Pananganan chipped in 11 and Allester Baz added 10 in a balanced offensive attack that netted the Warriors their 11th win in 13 games.
The Warriors, thus, stayed within striking distance with the league-leaders Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs, who are 12-1.
Staying close with the league frontrunners were the Optum Knights, who made won their second game in a row by plastering the Author Solutions Philippines Inc. (ASPI) Hardbacks, 76-57.
Nicole Sultan wound up with 22 points, while Al De Los Santos donated 10 for the Knights, who stayed at solo third place with an 11-3 record.
In other games, the Tech Mahindra (9-4) dumped Cognizant (2-11), 88-56, while Results Mactan Newtown (6-7) blew out Iploy (2-11), 107-60.
