4ID naalarma sa recruitment sa NPA



GIBULGAR sa usa ka sakop sa New People's Army (NPA) kinsa naluwas sa mga sundalo human samdan sa engkwento niadtong Nobiyembre 2 sa Agusan del Norte nga adunay pagpang-recruit sa mga walhong grupo ngadto sa mga menor de edad.

Kini ang gibutyag ni Rex Antonio, alyas Kent, 19, ug miingon nga narekruit siya 17 anyos pa ang iyang pangidaron.

Gumikan niini, ang 4th Infantry "Diamond" Division, Philippine Army, nikondena sa walhong grupo nga usa kini ka dakong kasupakan sa International Humanitarian Law (IHL) ang pagpang-recruit ug mga minor.

Si alyas Bradex, 23, kinsa kanhi membro sa NPA nga misurender sa Bukidnon, nikumpirmar usab niini.

"I am only 12 years old when the NPA used me as courier and I became a full-time NPA combatant at the age of 16-years-old," matud niini.

Gikumpirma sab niini ni Sandara Monsalao Mandahinog, alyas Karla, 17, usa ka squad medic sa NPA nga misurender niadtong Marso 23 sa 23rd Infantry Battalion (23IB) sa Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.

"I was recruited and forced to join the NPA at the age of 14-years-old which made my life miserable," ingon ni Mandahinog.

Naalarma ang 4th Infantry Division (4ID) niini ug giawhag ang katawhan nga mokooperar labina sa mga tunghaan.

"The presence of NPA child warriors is very alarming and everybody must take urgent action to stop the recruitment of our school children. It is a clear violation of rule 136 of the IHL which prohibits recruitment of minors by any armed groups involved in hostilities. I urge everyone especially the parents to take care of your children and together let us protect their future, our future generation," ingon ni Major General Franco Nemesio Gacal, commander sa 4ID.

"We can prevent this recruitment of minors and totally end the local communist armed conflict through our convergence of efforts. Let us give our full support to Executive Order 70 the whole-of-nation approach to end insurgency problem in Regions 10 and Caraga," dugang panawagan ni Gacal.
