GREATMINDS Leadership Academy (GLA) had a successful weekend as it grabbed wins in the 14-under and 12-under divisions of the Bohol Schools Athletic Association (BSAA) Season 9 Basketball tournament at the University of Bohol gym last Saturday, November 9, 2019.
GLA got off to a great start to pave the way for their 108-44 humiliation of the Victoriano D. Tirol Advanced Learning Center in the under-14 division. GLA zoomed off to a 69-18 lead at halftime en route to registering their third win in as many games.
Lord Melvin Costan sparked GLA to the win with his 28 points, six assists and four steals while Josh Dompor added 27 points. Nyko Pon also played well as he scored 18 points.
GLA also kept their unbeaten record in the 12-under division as they blew away the Holy Name University, 66-47, for their third win in a row. Jlord Bautista had 18 points while Gumer Maghuyop and Andre Patino scored 15 points each. (JNP)
