6 drug personalities arrested in Bacolod

SIX drug personalities were arrested in separate drug busts conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in various areas of Bacolod from November 10 to 11.

Police identified the suspects as Bessie Lato, 26, of Barangay 3; Jimboy Gambalan, 38, of Barangay Taculing; Ernie Yulo, 28, of Barangay 2; Patrick Piansay, 36, of Purok Paglaum; Ryan Gabihan, 39, of Barangay 19; and Noel Esconde, 31, of Barangay 14.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Yulo, Lato and Gambalan were arrested by operatives of Police Station 9 after they sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover inside Wayside Inn, Rosario Street, Barangay 32, around 4 a.m. Monday.

Recovered from the suspects' possession were seven sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P23,000, the P600 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Piansay and Gabihan were also arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 at Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay 19, around 10:10 p.m. Sunday.

Recovered from the suspects' possession were six sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P60,000, the P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Also on Sunday, Esconde was arrested by operatives of Police Station 1 led by Police Major Jovil Sedel in Purok Boulevard, Barangay 14, around 9:30 p.m.

Recovered from Esconde's possession were 12 sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P35,000, the P200 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 1, 4 and 9 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
